Libertine Events | Podcast-A-Palooza® Code Of Conduct – Montreal Soiree

Soire Montreal December 8-10, 2023

Welcome to Soiree Montreal hosted by Libertine Events LLC. We’ve put together a comprehensive set of guidelines to ensure everyone enjoys a remarkable experience during our event. These guidelines have been meticulously curated by us and will be strictly upheld throughout the duration of the event. Please read through this document to familiarize yourself with our expectations. If you have any inquiries or concerns, don’t hesitate to engage with our hosts.

Creating an Atmosphere of Respect

Our primary goal is to foster a welcoming, safe, and positive atmosphere for all attendees. To ensure this, we kindly ask you to adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Show respect to all attendees. Taking photographs or videos of others in public areas without consent is strictly prohibited. If you believe your photo is being taken without permission, kindly request the person to stop or report it to on-site hosts or security personnel.
  • Treat fellow attendees with the utmost respect. We have a zero-tolerance policy for racism, sexist comments, and violence. Violators will be promptly removed from the event.
  • Extend this respect to the venue itself. Please maintain cleanliness in communal areas and leave rooms in the same condition as you found them.

Prioritizing Consent

Our events uphold the paramount value of consent. Participation in any activity without consent is never obligatory. We hold the principle of ‘Always Ask First’ above all else. This rule admits no exceptions – all attendees, regardless of gender, are accountable for their actions without exception.

Should anyone be observed deviating from the consent expectations set by the hosts or individuals, they will be respectfully requested to leave the event.

We proudly align ourselves with the National Coalition of Sexual Freedom. For more comprehensive insight into the framework of consent, please explore https://ncsfreedom.org/key-programs-2/consent-counts/

Prohibited Items

Illicit and illegal substances will not be tolerated at this event. If you are discovered with illicit / illegal substances the matter will be handed over to the police.

Our events practice the responsible service of alcohol. All events will have alcohol served as per the local legal requirements as well as the licensing requirements of our service provider. Note that these requirements may change from event to event but will always be enforced to the local legal requirement.

Should the venue have a standard that is above the local legal requirement, we will adhere to this.

Additionally, alcohol will not be provided to anyone that the hosts (or by extension the venue) staff deems to be unduly intoxicated or disorderly. A person may be taken to be unduly intoxicated if the persons speech, balance, coordination, or behavior is noticeably affected.

This is a private event and attendees are not permitted to carry weapons of any kind, including, without limitation, concealed or displayed firearms, or anything that may be construed as a weapon onto the premises of any official event. The hosts reserve the right to require anyone who violates this policy to immediately leave the premises of any official event, and to deactivate and/or revoke the credentials of such Participants.
