House Rules and Polices for Podcast-A-Palooza® Events
We want to create the most comfortable, safe, healthy experience you can have at our events, please note below our policies. These policies are non negotiable for all event attendees, should the policies | rules be broken, the attendee will be asked to leave the event immediately and will not be entitled to a refund.
Consent Policy
At a Podcast-A-Palooza event no-one is obligated to take part in any non-consensual activity. Consent is always a priority for the team at Podcast-A-Palooza, and as an overriding principal we expect you to ‘Always Ask First’. There is NO exceptions to this rule – ladies, gents and others are responsible for their actions at all times.
If you are seen to be outside the Podcast-A-Palooza (or an individual) required expectations for consent, at any time, by anybody, you will be asked to leave the event.
General house rules
- Due to the nature of our events, please respect all guests. Taking photos or videos in public areas of other guests is NOT permitted. If you believe someone may be taking a photo of you without consent, please ask them to stop immediately or report it to the Podcast-A-Palooza personnel.
- Please refrain from sexual activities in public areas.
- Please treat all guests with the utmost respect, our event will not tolerate any kind of racism or sexist comments and will ask guests to be escorted off the property.
- Podcast-A-Palooza host hotel provides an in-room safety deposit box. Please use it to store all valuables when you are not in your room.
- The host Hotel is not responsible for lost item left out of the safety deposit box.
Drugs and Alcohol Policy
Illicit substances will not be tolerated at a Podcast-A-Palooza event. If you are discovered with illicit substances the matter will be handed over to the police.
Podcast-A-Palooza practices the responsible service of alcohol. Any Podcast-A-Palooza event will have alcohol served as per the local legal requirements. Note that these requirements may change from event to event but will always be enforced to the local legal requirement. Should the venue have a standard that is above the local legal requirement, Podcast-A-Palooza will adhere to this. Additionally, alcohol will not be provided to anyone that Podcast-A-Palooza (or by extension the venue) staff deems to be unduly intoxicated or disorderly. A person may be taken to be unduly intoxicated if the persons speech, balance, coordination or behavior is noticeably affected.

Weapons-Free Policy
Podcast-A-Palooza (PCAP) has a strict weapons-free policy. If you see something, say something. Please call 9-1-1 if you see a person with a weapon, whether or not it may be legal for them to carry one.
PCAP is a private event and attendees are not permitted to carry weapons of any kind, including, without limitation, concealed or displayed firearms, or anything that may be construed by PCAP as a weapon onto the premises of any official PCAP event. Read More
Cancellation Refund Policy
Podcast-A-Palooza® has a no refund or transference policy for a change of mind or circumstance. However, we will make every effort to support a resale of your ticket and issuance of refund to you based on the below parameters.
Whilst all tickets to our hotel takeover events are considered non-refundable we will assist in attempting to resell your ticket based on the below. Ticket sales will be considered once the hotel has sold out of the specific ticket type and therefore your ticket will be next available ticket sale. Read More
Cultural Appropriation
Podcast-A-Palooza® is an inclusive and supportive event, we want all our attendees to feel safe and comfortable. An important part to this is the understanding that some lifestyle event themes could potentially lend themselves towards cultural misappropriation. We would like to take this moment to remind all our attendees to be respectful and ensure that they dress and act in an appropriate manner. It goes without saying that cultural appropriation will not be tolerated, and we respectfully request that you do not consider items like black/brown face, native headdress, and other items when you are creating your costume.
